For collection dates over 4 weeks away, you can either pay a booking deposit now to secure your booking and the remaining balance 4 weeks before the hire start date or you can pay in full now. (Please note: The booking deposit is non-refundable)

For collection dates within 4 weeks of the hire start date, you will need to pay the full balance now.

On collection of the motorhome, you will need to pay a refundable insurance excess holding deposit of £800.00 by Bank Transfer in the name of the driver. The holding deposit may increase due to certain points or convictions on your licence.
Collection Documents - UK RESIDENCE
The following documents must be presented on the collection of our motorhomes for each driver. Failure to present the correct documentation will result in your booking being cancelled:

Driving Licence Photo Card (If you still have a paper licence, then you will need to present your passport)

Both proofs of address have to match the address on your driving licence. If they do not match this will invalidate the insurance therefore not allowing you to commence with the hire. (Please note: if this happens, we cannot refund your booking).

Collection Documents - Non-Uk RESIDENCE

Cancellation of Bookings
If you need to cancel your booking the below will apply:

More than 4 weeks before your hire start date - the booking deposit will be retained
-
2 weeks or No show - 100% of the total hire charge will be retained (This will also apply if, upon inspection of named drivers' licences, they are found to be invalid or do not comply with the information stated on the booking form.
Although we don't offer this service, we do recommend for our customers to take out holiday insurance.
In circumstances beyond our control if the Motorhome previously booked by the hirer is not available due to an accident, theft, weather conditions, or any other reason or circumstance, we will refund all monies paid immediately. Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd however will have no obligation whatsoever concerning refunding any monies paid for campsites booked, events booked, travel booked, or any other circumstances.
Insurance

Named Drivers: Only drivers named in the rental agreement are permitted to operate our hired vehicles.

Driver Eligibility: All named drivers must meet the following criteria:
-
Age: Between 23 and 75 years old.
-
Health: In good health.
-
Driving License: Possess a full and valid driving license for a minimum of two years.
-
Driving Record: Have no more than 6 points on their driving license, excluding up to six points for Speeding Offences. Any other current endorsements may require special conditions.
-
Accident and Conviction History: Have had no accidents within the last 3 years and no driving convictions.
-
Serious Convictions: Persons with serious convictions within the last eleven years, including drink driving offences, are not permitted to drive the hire vehicles.
-

International Visitors: Foreign visitors are allowed to drive our motorhomes, subject to approval.
-
Documentation Requirement: All drivers must provide documentation as stated above.

Comprehensive Insurance: Our motorhomes are comprehensively insured for the named drivers during the hire period only.

Additional Drivers: Additional drivers can be added at an additional charge, the details of which will be provided upon request.

Insurance Excess Holding Deposit: A refundable insurance excess holding deposit of £800.00 is required upon collection of the motorhome. This deposit may increase based on certain points or convictions on the driver's license. In the event of an insurance claim, the full £800.00 will be taken to cover the excess. Any damage or loss lower than £800.00 during the hire period will be deducted from the refundable deposit.

Damage Reporting: Every accident or damage must be reported to Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd immediately by telephone. An accident form must also be completed at the end of the hire period.

Exclusions: Our insurance does not cover theft of personal property. Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd recommends that the hirer takes out their own personal belongings insurance.

Non-Compliance: Driving by non-named drivers and late returns of motorhomes render the insurance invalid. In such cases, the driver will be solely responsible for any damages or personal injuries incurred and may face legal action under the Road Traffic Act.
Limitations & Liabilities
The Hirer:

Is liable for any cost incurred for speeding or parking fines, congestion charges or any other offences committed against the Road Traffic Act regulations.
-
Must remember that although these are leisure vehicles, it is an offence to drink and drive.
-
Undertakes responsibility for the control of the vehicle on hire to you.
-
Shall not tow any trailer or vehicle behind the hired vehicle.
-
Shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle, as defined in the vehicle specifications or allow the vehicle to be overloaded.
-
Shall ensure that the driver and all passengers required by law to do so shall, at all times when the vehicle is being driven wear the seat belts provided.
-
Shall not use the vehicle to carry passengers or goods for hire or reward.
-
Shall not, without written consent from Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd, remove the vehicle from the UK mainland.
-
Shall not carry out any adjustments or repairs without written consent from Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd.
NEGLIGENCE
I am aware that Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd do not cover the following and the hirer remains solely responsible for any costs incurred:

Any damage above windscreen height. The maximum height of the vehicle is clearly stated in the motorhomes.

Any damage caused to the awning.
-
Any damage to the wing mirrors.
-
Any damage to the wheels or tyres.
-
Any damage to the windscreen, side windows or roof lights.
-
Any damage to the bike rack.
-
Any damage caused to the inside of the motorhome.
-
Any damge caused to the exterior bodywork and panels.
-
Any damage deemed as malicious i.e. Vehicle break-in or vandalism.
-
The theft of the Vehicle if the keys were left in it.
-
Any damage to the vehicle or third party.
-
Any damage caused by low oil, coolant, or Ad-Blue levels during the hire period.
TYRES & WINDSCREENS
The Hirer:
-
Is liable for repairing or replacing tyres damaged during the hire period.
-
Is liable for £100.00 Excess for windscreen replacement.
-
Is liable for £25.00 Excess for windscreen repairs.
BReakdown & Accidents
-
In the event of a breakdown or accident, Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd should be notified immediately.
-
In the event of a breakdown, a recovery and repair service is provided for our motorhomes in the UK and Europe (details inside vehicles).
-
Any breakdown, malfunction or damage caused by your negligence will be at your expense.
-
Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd accepts no responsibility for replacement vehicle costs, travel or accommodation costs or any other loss claims arising from a Motorhome breakdown or accident.
Mileage Charges

Unlimited mileage for England and Wales.

Scotland Mileage charges - £20.00 per day
-
European Mileage charges - £20.00 per day (Ireland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Liechtenstein, Northern Italy, Switzerland)
General

The motorhome and its contents remain the property of Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd at all times. The hirer is required to keep the vehicle securely locked at all times when it is left unattended and to refrain from any action or omission which may prejudice Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd's rights to the vehicle.

Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd reserves the right to retain in part or whole the refundable deposit if additional deep cleaning or repair is required upon return of the vehicle due to Smoking.

Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd reserves the right to vary rates and conditions at any time.
-
Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd offer free car parking for your car whilst you are away, however, vehicles are left entirely at the owner's Risk. Only one allocated parking space is provided per Motorhome hire.

Late returns will be surcharged at the rate of £25 per hour, or part hour.
Vehicle Conditions

The hirer acknowledges collection of the vehicle and its contents, free from defects or damage, other than as specified by Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd.
-
Before the commencement of hire, the hirer is advised to check the vehicle thoroughly before leaving the premises of Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd. Any damages or missing parts will be noted on the condition report, to be signed by the hirer and Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd.

The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when hired, with the toilet emptied, the fuel tank and Ad Blue filled up to the click, rubbish removed and the interior cleaned.
-
Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd will make a charge of £25 for the cleaning of un-emptied chemical toilets.
-
Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd will make a charge for the cleaning of dirty or stained carpets or upholstery.
Fuel, Oil & Gas
-
A full tank of fuel and Ad-Blue is supplied with the vehicle at the commencement of hire and the hirer is expected to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel.

There will be a surcharge of £25 plus the cost of fuel for any fuel shortage.
-
The hirer will be liable if an incorrect fuel type is used.
-
The hirer will be responsible for the regular checking of oil and water levels, and the use of the correct type of fluids whilst on your trip.
-
Our vehicles are fitted with gas bottles which can be swapped for new at any fuel station/campsite supplying Calor Propane Gas. These gas bottles are to be returned to us with the motorhome on drop off, with what is left in the bottle or empty.
Suitable Persons
Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd has the right to refuse to hand over the Motorhome on arrival of the hirer to any person who in our opinion is not suitable to take charge of the vehicle, due to any concerns we have for the safety of the vehicle or its occupants or other road users, In this situation all monies paid to us will be refunded in full immediately, Hampshire Motorhome Hire Ltd will have no obligation whatsoever about refunding any monies paid for campsites booked, events booked, travel booked, or any other circumstances.
Animals

We are pet-friendly

Dogs to be trained and well-behaved.

We ask that they don't jump up on the beds or furniture.

If cleaning is required due to your dog, you will be charged for professional cleaning of upholstery.
Smoking
Strictly permitted.
It is against the law to smoke in all hire vehicles. A fixed penalty notice of £100.00 will be imposed if customers are found to have been smoking in our Motorhome. Or a maximum fine of the full Damage Deposit could be imposed if damage has been caused by smoking.
